This Principal Associate (HRBP) position plays a critical role in supporting our Financial Services division and its people leaders through their people processes, strategies and talent management systems. You’ll be a key member of our Servicing HR team and get the opportunity to impact the division by supporting our largest line of business with a specific focus on our operations teams and customer‑facing associates.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Guide leaders and associates through navigating behavioral and performance related issues
  • Leverage our available tools and resources to help coach people leaders on how to support themselves on their most common talent‑related needs
  • Execute critical HR processes and policies within the Financial Services division, including talent and performance management, etc.
  • Support HRBPs and Financial Services leaders on ad hoc projects and programs
  • Partner with associate relations and other key partner groups while providing this guidance to leaders and associates
  • Provide updates to partners and HRBPs on themes within their partner group and make recommendations on where and how we can improve associate engagement, enablement, inclusion, etc.
  • Data collection, analysis, reporting, and process improvements
  • Other miscellaneous – presentation development, stakeholder communications, associate consultation, partnering cross‑functionally with enterprise HR groups like Associate Relations, Talent Acquisition, People Strategy & Analytics, etc.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of client facing experience or at least 2 years of consulting experience or a combination of both
  • At least 2 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Project and / or Program Management experience
  • Professional Human Resources Certification

    The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part‑time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

    Plano, TX : $106,700 – $121,700 for Pr. Associate, HR Business Partner

    Role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
