Director of Operations and Engagement

About the Role

National Grid is seeking a Director of Operations and Engagement for the Strategy and Regulation team. The role reports to the Chief Strategy and Regulation Officer and supports the Strategy and Regulation Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This position can be located in Waltham, MA; Brooklyn, NY; or Syracuse, NY.

The Director of Operations and Engagement acts as an advisory partner to the Senior Leadership Group, with a focus on Performance, Governance, Engagement, Special Projects, and Reputation Management. The role carries a high degree of responsibility, accountability, technical aptitude, and requires strong influencing skills and diplomacy. You will also be a central member of the Chief of Staff community at National Grid.

Responsibilities

Serve as an advisory partner to the Senior Leadership Group with emphasis on Performance, Governance, Engagement, Special Projects, and Reputation Management.

Provide strategic support and coordination for operational and engagement activities across the Strategy and Regulation team.

Collaborate with the Chief of Staff community and other leadership to drive cross-functional initiatives and high-impact outcomes.

Qualifications

Experience acting as an advisory partner to senior leadership with strong influencing and diplomacy skills.

Demonstrated technical aptitude relevant to operations, governance, and engagement functions.

Ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across multiple locations.

Salary : $210k - $247k per year in Waltham, MA.

Salary : $224k - $264k per year in Brooklyn, NY.

Salary : $187k - $220k per year in Syracuse, NY.
