Principal Design Program Manager, Devices and Services Design Job ID : 2978713 | Amazon.com Services LLC Amazon's Devices & Services Design team is seeking a Principal Design Program Manager to drive strategic planning across future roadmaps. This role will be responsible for working with partners and stakeholders to define and manage future priorities and the operating model that brings the future into product roadmaps. In order to be successful, this person will need to bring along cross organization stakeholders to gain their buy-in and support. The ideal candidate will exhibit leadership, high judgment, the ability to influence, and exceptional organization and communication skills.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with designers, researchers, engineers, product managers, and other cross functional partners. You will combine expert program management skills with a passion for user experience to help teams across Devices and Services improve the designs of Amazon’s products and services. You will need to manage communications across levels and organizations within Amazon to ensure awareness, understanding and alignment with organizational and business priorities.

About the team The Amazon Devices & Services Design team is a multidisciplinary design team that is responsible for Design across Echo Family Devices, Alexa Mobile, Fire TV, Fire Tablets and more. Our mission is to bring to life delightful, easy-to-use, and high value experiences for our customers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 8+ years of UX Design Project / Program Management and / or Design Ops experience in design organizations - 8+ years of working cross functionally with design, product and tech teams experience - Experience operationalizing and maturing UX Design organizations within a complex and ambiguous corporate environment. - Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery, including defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements - Experience working with, presenting to, and influencing senior executives up to VP level PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Demonstrates the ability to guide a diverse range of professionals and senior leaders, significantly impacting organizational objectives and global strategies. - High capacity for making informed decisions that positively affect customer experience, business outcomes, and technical considerations. - Skilled in navigating complex trade-offs to prioritize resources, organizational health, and scalable solutions. - Exceptional ability to convey complex decisions and strategies, ensuring clarity and alignment on critical decision areas - Models excellence in communication, planning, risk management, and strategic escalation. - Recognized for independence and insight in resolving unexplored strategic domains - Proven ability to facilitate and drive cooperation across diverse design disciplines and organizational boundaries - Expert in enhancing cross-organizational design programs and mechanisms

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,600 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,200 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
