JOB SUMMARY :
The role of the Sheetmetal Programmer II is to use moderate programming techniques and processes to produce accurate and quality parts. This position will help train less experienced team members in the Sheetmetal shop by sharing guidance and knowledge of programming procedures. The ability to organize multiple projects and apply moderate level critical thinking skills is crucial for success in this position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Programming of moderate jobs on CNC laser / punching machine with assistance
- Be sought out to provide technical solutions to less experienced team members
- Responsible for checking prints and models using various inspections techniques
- Keep a clean and orderly work area
- Complete machine setup / NC sheets for all jobs programmed
- Edit legacy programs and setups if needed
- Ability to multitask with frequent interuptions
- Maintain file structure in database
- Fill out shop request forms if tooling is needed for a project
- Determine the correct tooling for the job to ensure quality and lowest run time
- Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to sit for extended periods of timeAbility to use hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, hand / power tools, etc. and handle and feel parts of various sizeAbility to bend, kneel and crouch occasionally throughout the shiftAbility to push, pull or lift 50 lbs. moderately throughout the workdayAbility to focus vision for : close vision, color vision, depth perception and adjusting to sharp focusNoise conditions can be moderate to extreme.
