Thomas & Hutton has an opening for a motivated and driven Civil Engineer - Designer - Engineer in Training in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare site development construction drawings and engineering design considerations for water, sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure.
  • Prepare permit applications associated with residential, commercial, and / or industrial projects.
  • Interact with clients regularly; excellent communication skills are required.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience : 2+ years experience designing land development projects using Civil 3D software applications.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. EIT Certification, or the ability to receive EIT Certification within 6 months.
  • Skills : Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software applications; ability to communicate both verbally and in writing; ability to work a regular schedule of 7 : 30 AM – 5 : 30 PM Mon–Thu and 7 : 30 AM – 11 : 30 AM Fri; proven ability to multi-task, prioritize workflow, and complete tasks; highly client-service oriented, self-starter, and team player; ability to solve problems; excellent time management skills.
