Job Title : Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This role involves the repair and installation of production and manufacturing equipment. Candidates will work with both older and newer equipment, requiring an understanding of PLCs for troubleshooting purposes. The position demands a balanced experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as familiarity with high-speed production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and install production / manufacturing equipment.
• Inspect equipment for proper functioning and perform preventative maintenance duties as per manufacturer's specifications.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Troubleshoot PLC errors to minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, and gears.
• Conduct maintenance repair and improvement activities on process line equipment.
• Dismantle, tear down, take apart, and repair old machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Work Environment

The work environment is a union facility characterized by being dusty, loud, and having certain areas with tight tolerances. The company is a leader in the design, engineering, and manufacture of refractory products for high-tech industrial applications. The role involves working mandatory overtime when needed, including weekends. Candidates will train on the first shift from 6am-2pm and then may transition to a shift that suits their schedule.

This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago Heights, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75108.80 - $77188.80 / yr.
