Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Control Technician to join our plastics manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting molded components, verifying product quality, and ensuring all materials and finished parts meet customer and production specifications. You’ll work closely with production, engineering, and management teams to help maintain high standards of product consistency, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Inspect plastic components and assemblies using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections according to established quality procedures and inspection plans.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records in accordance with ISO and company standards.
  • Identify nonconforming parts or processes and communicate findings to supervisors or production personnel.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Conduct first article inspections and assist in product validation processes.
  • Monitor production areas to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in calibration of inspection equipment and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or quality training preferred.
  • Previous experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing (plastics or molding experience preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with data entry or quality software.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 lbs as needed.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with injection or blow molding processes.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
  • Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) or basic quality analysis methods.
