A typical day as a seasonal, experienced tax professional will involve inspiring people to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money. You will build client relationships that will grow stronger every year. Joining H&R Block means you'll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training you'll need to be successful.

To excel in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, CPA or enrolled agent certification, experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership), and 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax. Additionally, experience conducting virtual tax interviews, tax planning and audit support, and sales and / or marketing experience would be beneficial.

What you'll bring to the team includes conducting tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools video, phone, chat, and email. You will prepare complete and accurate tax returns, generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services. You will also provide clients with IRS support, mentor and support teammates, and successfully complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment. Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax, completing individual returns, and working in a fast-paced environment is required. Comfort working with virtual tools video, phone, and chat, and the ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone, and in writing are also essential. You must meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
