Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Milton, FL 32570 (Santa Rosa County)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – PACU RN

Unit : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Duration : 12-week contract

Shifts : Monday–Friday, typically 10 : 00am–6 : 00pm (variable shift times based on surgical volume)

Shift Duration : 8 Hour Days

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1400–$1500

Call Rotation : One day of call and one late shift per week; weekend call rotation every 4th weekend (Saturday 7am–Monday 7am)

Call Response Time : 30 minutes, dressed and ready to receive patients

PACU RN Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a critical care / Main OR PACU setting (outpatient PACU experience not sufficient)

Active Registered Nurse license in Florida or multistate compact RN license

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required

ASPAN (American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses) certification preferred

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia care to surgical patients in accordance with Florida Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and hospital policies

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff to ensure safe and effective patient recovery

Demonstrate advanced critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care planning and delivery

Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing nursing education

Delegate patient care tasks based on staff education and experience

Supervise and provide direction to assigned healthcare personnel delivering patient care
