Seasonal Laborer II - Neponset Winter 2025 2026

The Department of Conservation and Recreation seeks applicants for the position of Seasonal Laborer II, Neponset Labor Yard, Boston. Duties include performing various manual labor tasks to assist in the work of skilled tradesmen and craftsmen, installing drainage, sewer, and water pipelines, digging trenches and refilling excavations, setting and repairing curbing, and maintaining signs. The position also involves planting, transplanting, pruning, and fertilizing trees, flowers, and shrubs, as well as operating hand-held power tools and motor vehicles. Salaries are based upon full-time / 40 hours worked per week. Work schedules and days off are at the discretion of the Supervisor. This position may require working weekends and / or holidays.
