ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - ED ER

Job Details :

  • Multiple shifts available with in-times that can vary from 3 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 PM
  • Full-time position with immediate start
  • Work with diverse patient population including clinic-type patients, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency department cases
  • Nurse to patient ratio of 1 : 4-5
  • Weekend requirement : 6 weekend days worked per 6 weeks
  • On-call requirement : 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks for emergencies or extra shifts as needed
  • Floating may be requested but unlikely due to census
  • Required certifications : Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from AHA
  • RN License in state of employment or compact required
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
  • 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
  • All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days
  • Precepted by designated trained staff member with competency validation requirements
  • Annual competency verification requirements must be completed
  • Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
  • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
  • Assess learning needs and provide patient and family education
