Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : 1+ year of Med / Surg preferred, ICU experience is a plus

License : Michigan RN License required

Certifications : BLS (AHA)

Must-Have :

• 1+ year of Med / Surg experience is required
• ICU experience is preferred
• Michigan license verification is required

Description :

The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver.

The nurse provides direct and indirect care for a group of patients.

Care is provided for a designated time frame and some or all age populations.

The nursing process is the basis for care.

This includes assessment of biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning factors.

The nurse plans and prescribes nursing interventions.

Implementation of these interventions and evaluation of care rendered completes the nursing process.

The Registered Nurse must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span.

Possessing the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s age and status is essential.

The nurse must interpret the appropriate information needed to prescribe and provide care as described in unit and hospital policies and procedures.
