E-Commerce Strategist

Responsible for helping grow and maintain a certain category of business. This includes knowing the products, brands and sales metrics within your assigned business category. You will analyze e-commerce data including POS, shipments, and other key category / customer-specific metrics to develop a strategic plan to grow the business. In doing so, you will identify strategies and actionable steps to grow your business. Develop a winning growth strategy for your category of business based on data insights, understanding of the market, and competition, to name a few. Frequently present business insights to cross-functional teams from weekly POS data and other daily activities that represent what you are doing to grow your business. Identify what the competition is doing and communicate your plans to win in your category that represents millions of dollars in revenues. Develop subject matter expertise in assigned product categories and take ownership in the day-to-day business administration on assigned accounts. Collaborate and strategize with the Advertising Manager on ways to advertise your key items and grow both organic and paid sales. Lead weekly meetings with product management that create a teamwork environment and alignment on strategies to grow the business. Develop a promotional strategy that is aligned with the Pricing Department on the discount being provided. Also, update the Promotional Calendar to reflect the agreed-upon promotions. Ensure the strategy is aligned with healthy inventory levels. Meet and collaborate with the Purchasing Department on inventory levels associated with your category of business to ensure optimal sales opportunities. Participate in key meetings centered around new product / brand launches and business reviews pertaining to your category of business. Drive strategies to ensure excess and idle inventory levels are kept at an acceptable level consistent with our corporate goals. This includes creating content, listing, and pricing strategies to meet your objectives. Create and maintain a dashboard of critical tactical activities that an Associate Ecommerce Strategist will work from to assist you in growing your business. Prepare internal pricing requests to balance Jasco’s profitability with customer-specific margin requirements. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and successfully meet multiple deadlines at once, while maintaining attention to detail. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in the field of business, data analytics, or related field. At least 2 years of previous ecommerce experience is required Highly organized and detailed oriented Experience with data analytics or related field Multi-tasker who can self-manage his or her time proactively Must be flexible & adaptable to constantly changing methods and objectives Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills Business data analysis and the ability to translate findings into strategic recommendations Exceptional organizational skills and troubleshooting ability Proficient in administrative software including Microsoft Word and Excel Basic knowledge of database systems Must be able to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment Jasco is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action / E-Verify Employer
