Hours / Day : 8 (40 hours guaranteed)

Weekend Requirements : Every other weekend

A facility in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Behavioral Health RN for their inpatient unit. The RN will provide compassionate, patient-centered care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience

BLS certification required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to provide leadership, delegate tasks, and coordinate care

Experience in milieu management, crisis intervention, and patient / family education

Responsibilities

Assess patient care needs, develop individualized plans, and continuously reassess outcomes

Provide nursing care in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

Deliver patient and family education, discharge planning, and aftercare coordination

Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and staff

Document and report all necessary information according to policies and procedures

Identify and report potential safety risks or adverse events

Function as a clinical leader, delegating and coordinating staff assignments

Uphold the mission, values, and professional standards of the organization

Support a recovery-focused, person-centered approach in all clinical settings

Additional Duties

May serve as charge nurse

Oversee medication and physical health activities

Provide spiritual, emotional, social, mental, and physical support to patients

Participate in ongoing training and competency evaluations

Promote quality improvement and efficient use of resources
