Role : Senior AI Engineer

Location : Remote.

About the job :

Advantra is partnering with an early-stage AI-powered cybersecurity startup to hire a Senior AI Engineer to build the backbone of its agent-based cybersecurity platform.

About the role :

You will architect and scale multi-agent AI workflows, build retrieval-augmented pipelines, and integrate unstructured cyber data into structured insights. You will contribute to infrastructure, product direction, and data strategy while deploying production-grade systems for real-world customers.

Responsibilities :

  • Architect and scale the multi-agent AI orchestration engine.
  • Build workflows that unify unstructured cyber data into structured insights.
  • Develop RAG pipelines using vector databases, embedding models, and long-context LLMs.
  • Design entity linking and knowledge graph pipelines for cybersecurity data.
  • Evaluate LLM outputs for precision, hallucination, and guardrails.

Write production-grade Python and deploy using GKE, Cloud Run, and Terraform.

  • Contribute to product direction, infrastructure, and data strategy.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure retrieval quality, low latency, and prompt robustness.

    • Core requirements :

  • 5+ years of experience in AI / ML or data engineering or equivalent project experience.
  • Experience building multi-agent LLM workflows and retrieval-based systems.
  • Experience with vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone) and graph databases (Neo4j, Memgraph).
  • Experience deploying NLP pipelines across varied data types and sources.

    • Experience shipping and owning real-world systems, preferably at early-stage startups.

  • Strong Python programming and production deployment skills.
  • Understanding of LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, and retrieval quality metrics.

    • Familiarity with cloud deployment and infrastructure automation tools.

    Nice to have :

  • Experience fine-tuning or deploying small language models (SLMs).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as CVEs, threat intelligence feeds, or MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or agent orchestration frameworks.
  • Built AI observability or evaluation pipelines.
  • Experience with production-grade AI infrastructure at scale.
