Summary
The Dishwasher / Kitchen Porter is responsible for washing dishes and pans, polishing glasses, taking out trash, keeping the kitchen clean, and assisting with basic food preparation as instructed by the chef.

- Washes dishes and kitchen utensils and pans, as needed.
- Sweeps, mops, and cleans surfaces in the kitchen, as needed.
- Takes out trash and replaces trash can liners in kitchen, as needed.
- Learns about and participates in basic food preparation, as instructed by the chef.
- Adheres to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation.
- Complies with all food and general safety standards, policies, and regulations.

Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold.Occasional work outside for special events, including barbecues, outside buffets, etc.Physical demands
Ability to bend, stand, and stoop for long periods of time, and working long hours in hot, busy conditionsAbility to work with water, dishwashing machinery, and cleaning products and tools on a regular basis.Ability to lift and move objects of up to 40 lbs. on a regular basisAbility to negotiate uneven, outdoor surfacesAbility to work in various weather conditions, including hot and cold weatherTravel and Remote Work
