$2,766 per week

About The Position

Job Title : PACU Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Recovery Room

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days

Hours per Shift : 8 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years of PACU / Recovery room experience

License : Registered Nurse (RN) - State License

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS preferred)

Must-Have : RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS (preferred)

Description :

The Clinical Nurse utilizes the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care.

The Clinical Nurse provides quality patient care according to established policies and procedures.

Applies the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge needs of patients and families.

Recognizes the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes.

Partners with patients and families in planning care.

Provides quality care that meets or exceeds expected outcomes.

Assists individuals considering their special needs, age-related, and cultural-related needs.

Recognizes the roles of the interdisciplinary team and utilizes them appropriately in patient care.

Delegates appropriate tasks to team members.

Demonstrates knowledge and competently performs technical procedures.

Documents in the patient record in a timely, accurate, and concise manner.

Develops teaching strategies for patients and families.

Demonstrates leadership in the professional practice setting and engages in continuing education.

Stays up to date with current health initiatives and incorporates evidence-based practice.

Completes annual self-appraisal and participates in peer review.

Engages in department-based activities and staff meetings.

Participates in hand-offs of care, including the patient and family.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the cultural traditions and needs of the community served.
