The posted compensation range of $24.00 - $30.31 / hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Medical Office Representative Float, you will serve as the initial point of contact for our valued patients, expertly coordinating all referrals and authorizations to ensure seamless access to care. Every day you will deliver excellent customer service through clear and empathetic communications, efficiently managing phone calls and distributing messages to the appropriate personnel. You will also adeptly handle patient requests for referrals and authorizations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a strong commitment to patient satisfaction, and a meticulous approach to administrative tasks. You will be a proactive team member, comfortable navigating various patient requests and contributing to a positive and efficient clinic environment.

  • Consistently demonstrates customer service expectations as outlined in the Dignity Health Medical Foundation audit tools.
  • Consistently makes eye contact and smiles.
  • Demonstrates active listening with a positive can do attitude.
  • Consistently respectful, concerned, and shows empathy.
  • Uses scripted greeting. "Thank you for choosing Mercy Medical Group this is (your name) how can I help you"
  • Uses scripted closing at every interaction. "Is there anything else I can do for you" Over the phone and as patients leave the clinic.

Required :

  • High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
  • High School GED General Studies, upon hire and
  • None, upon hire
  • Preferred :

  • Six (6) month's experience in an outpatient setting as a Medical Office Receptionist or
  • or an equivalent amount of experience in a high-volume customer service role in another industry / environment; or
  • 6 months experience as a Phone Receptionist or Health Information Associate within Dignity Health Medical Foundation. and
  • Experience with multi-line phones / ACD phones
