Position Overview :

We are seeking a friendly, highly motivated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will be patient-centered, organized, and a quick learner, with a passion for delivering exceptional service. Prior optical experience is a plus, but not required! A working knowledge of major vision insurance plans is essential, as you will assist in verifying and processing insurance claims. You will be working closely with our Optometrists to provide a first-class patient experience.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform pre-testing procedures and assist with various diagnostic tests (visual acuity, refraction, etc.)
  • Triage phone calls and handle patient inquiries
  • Assist with the verification and processing of insurance claims
  • Day sheet management and billing reconciliation
  • Collaborate with Optometrists to provide patient education and ensure comprehensive eye care
  • Assist with billing, job verification, and other office-related duties as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service, always ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations, equipment, and patient areas

Qualifications :

  • Optical or medical office experience is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of major vision insurance plans is expected
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly, patient-centered demeanor and strong attention to detail
  • High energy, motivated, and willing to go above and beyond for patients
  • Previous experience with office management or optical sales is a plus
