Material Handler - 2nd Shift - New London, WI
Position Summary : This position will setup, tear down, and operate the multivac packaging machines, labelers, box formers, box sealers, slicing and dicing equipment, and all other support equipment.
Responsibilities :
- Provide product and all operating supplies needed to the lines.
- Move 50-pound rolls of film from pallet to machine.
- Move racked product and remove racks.
- Check, open, and package leakers.
- Package all sliced and diced product.
- Trim tar from product.
- Box sausage for random cuts.
- Process and stack random cuts.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
- Observe all sanitation procedures.
- Complete HACCP checks and documentation.
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
- Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
- Perform any other work as assigned by management.
Requirements :
Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e. : addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Ability and willingness to work overtime and / or weekends as needed.Ability and willingness to obtain tow motor certification.Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and accurately record and report product information into the computer.Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions.Physical Requirements :
Ability and willingness to push / pull / lift with arms below waist / at shoulder / above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently.Ability and willingness to lift / lower / carry up to 20 pounds or greater with back and legs.Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.Preferred Skills :
Forklift experience preferredExperience in a manufacturing setting preferredRF Scanner experience preferredRequirements :
