Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in a trauma setting requiring a TX or compact RN license and Epic EMR experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in a hospital Operating Room with trauma cases
  • Work schedule is Monday to Wednesday, 10 : 30 AM to 11 : 00 PM with PM shifts
  • On-call participation is required
  • Patient assignment is 1 to 1
  • Uses Epic as the electronic medical record system
  • Hospital-provided navy scrubs are required
  • Responsible for delivering patient-centered care and coordinating treatment plans in the OR trauma setting
  • Collaboration within an interdisciplinary team is expected
  • Thorough assessment, care planning, and patient safety advocacy are central responsibilities
  • Suitability for this position is dependent on prior employment history within the health system; returning employees must be approved before hire
  • Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of OR experience required
  • Trauma experience is preferred
  • Epic EMR experience is required
  • Must provide two professional references for consideration
  • Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule; no local travelers will be considered
  • Flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season without exemptions
