A nonprofit founded in 1969 in Charlotte, North Carolina, we have since grown to be one of the largest providers of comprehensive substance use disorder treatment in western North Carolina. From initial assessment to customized aftercare, McLeod Centers provides compassionate, steadfast support for our patients’ journey to recovery. We are looking for passionate people to join our team!

McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently searching for a Full-time Clinical Director of MAT Services to work in its Clinical Operations department in Charlotte, N C .

This role will lead the development of a centralized intake department to support timely, streamlined access to care across all programs. Experience in intake, admissions, or access-related services is strongly preferred.

How will you help us achieve our mission? You will :

  • Program Leadership and Oversight :

Provide leadership and direction for assigned programs, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach throughout the continuum of care.

  • Assume responsibility for the clinical performance and quality outcomes of each program.
  • Quality and Performance Improvement :
  • Oversee ongoing quality and performance improvement initiatives related to client care and satisfaction.

  • Monitor client satisfaction and implement improvement plans when needed.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop evidence-based practices and innovative treatment modalities.
  • Staff Supervision and Development :
  • Manage departmental employment processes, including performance evaluations, competency assessments, and disciplinary actions.

  • Ensure all staff maintain required competencies and certifications to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide clinical coverage as needed to support staffing and patient care needs.
  • Compliance and Accreditation :
  • Work with the Compliance department to ensure programs meet federal, state, local, and accreditation requirements.

  • Maintain adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Program Growth and Development :
  • Identify opportunities to enhance current services or develop new programs in response to community needs and organizational goals.

  • Monitor program performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet benchmarks and improve outcomes.
  • Resource and Budget Management :
  • Assist in developing and managing program budgets to ensure efficient allocation of resources.

  • Support operational needs while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
  • What are the qualifications needed for this role?

  • Education / Experience
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Addiction, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical and supervisory experience in behavioral health or addiction treatment settings.
  • Certificates / Licenses
  • Valid licensure in one or more of the following : LCAS, LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC, or RN.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This role supervises the Program Managers of the clinical programs.
