We are a fast-growing, dynamic company seeking a Receiving Clerk to join our Research and Development facility located in Ontario, California.
Job Summary :
The Receiving Clerk shall receive regular shipments of stock and inventory. They will unload, count, inspect, and record the receipt of delivered goods into the ERP system to ensure all products ordered are received. Receiving clerks report shortages and damages that occurred during shipment to their manager or directly to the corresponding Buyer.
Essential Functions :
- Perform Receiving Inspections as per documented procedures.
- Unload and / or unpack product from inbound trucks.
- Inspect and count incoming material. Reject any material that is damaged before receipt.
- Daily post receipt in sage, update shared folders with packing slips scans.
- Deliver all packing slips and transaction registers to Accounting by end of day.
- Finalize all receiving by end of month in accordance to Accounting and Purchasing files.
- Develop, follow up, and maintain, all documentation regarding incoming inspection.
- Communicate any discrepancies in receipts to Purchasing.
- Record and report discrepancies to purchasing and MRB.
- Update excel databases to inform all necessary parties on receipts.
- Access to Work order picking sheets to follow up on appropriate shortages with proper documentation.
- Keep the receiving area clean by ensuring that all materials are labeled with appropriate part number label or flag. Properly distributed and / or stored in assigned locations.
- Keep strong communication with Warehouse team, buyers, Planners, and Mexico team.
- Follow work assignments as delegated by the Warehouse supervisor, Planner, and / or Operations Manager.
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent1 year of related work experienceStrong attention to details, highly organizedStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong math and communication skillsExperience in a manufacturing environment a plusPosition Type / Expected Hours of Work :
