As a controls engineer, you will build customer relations and apply your technical expertise to on-site projects as you oversee field service deliverables, establish operational quality and assure customer satisfaction. You will provide customer support by performing on-site installation services and oversee any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. You will check out and approve operational quality of system equipment, instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system and serve as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. You will report to the Territory Services Manager and work onsite in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Your Responsibilities :
- You will perform project management function for customer projects including needs identification, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
- You will provide services to support the installation, startup, maintenance, and operation of automation control systems and advanced manufacturing software applications, drive systems, manufacturing systems, industrial networks and the individual products that comprise these systems.
- You will evaluate and approve operational quality of system equipment and serve as company liaison to the customer for multiple topics.
- You will participate in the establishment, measurement, and achievement of customer satisfaction metrics.
- You will develop and write documentation (validation project plans, standard operating procedures, qualification summary reports, system audits, technical reports, traceability matrix, etc.).
- You will need to communicate with Rockwell Automation and customer management regarding project details.
