Job Title : Health Unit Coordinator

Salary Range : $18.66 - $26.18 / hour, based on experience and qualifications.
SUMMARY
Prepares and compiles records in patient care unit of the organization, serves as central communication source, and performs reception duties by performing the following duties.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Familiarity with medical terminology and technical terms a plus. Computer / clerical experience preferred. On-the-job training provided.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, visitors, physicians, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Good public relation skills. Ability to deal with many departments.
