Join the Texas Public Policy Foundation as an Attorney for the Center for the American Future. This is a remote or Austin, Texas-based role that requires at least five years of litigation experience.

The Center for the American Future defends the Constitution through legal opposition to government overreach, launching challenges at the administrative, district, and appellate court levels.

Job Description

The Attorney will be responsible for executing the Foundation's legal work plan, building a robust docket, and advancing strategic priorities. This includes complex litigation, discovery, briefs, trials, appellate work, and amicus briefing.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Center's Director and execute the Foundation's legal work plan.
  • Build a robust docket and advance the Foundation's strategic priorities.
  • Participate in complex litigation, including discovery, briefs, trials, and appellate work.

Qualifications

  • A self-starter with the ability to conceive and develop innovative ideas independently.
  • A polished legal writer with the aptitude for conveying complicated concepts convincingly.
  • A strategic thinker with a Juris Doctorate and experience in Constitutional law.
  • An advocate with litigation experience in trial and appellate courts, administrative law, and policymaking.
  • A leader who can work with tact and persuasion to assemble a coalition of activists and thinkers.
  • Optimistic and good-humored, with a strong love of liberty and enthusiasm for Texas.
  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
