Position Summary

Tricon is seeking a Senior Market Intelligence Analyst to join our industry-leading polymers intelligence team in Houston, TX. This role will report to the Polymer Intelligence Manager. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of commodity trading and market economics, with commercial, analytical, and / or consulting experience in the plastics space. This candidate will also excel at managing multiple priorities and can navigate complex issues, both independently and within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a proprietary outlook on various commodity and consumer markets that relate to the production, trade, and consumption of polymers
• Identify emerging themes, data gaps, or strategic blind spots, and design research initiatives that deliver clarity and commercial value across regions and products
• Collaborate in the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing market intelligence reports and dashboards
• Communicate regularly with our key suppliers, customers, and service providers as part of Tricon's in-house market intelligence function
• Suggest new tools, sources, and techniques to enhance how we gather insights - whether through improved data pipelines, custom models, or alternative data usage.
• Evaluate new and existing contractual trade structures, analyzing pricing mechanisms, exposure points, and potential value capture
