About the Division of Supportive Housing (DSH)

MHA’s Division of Supportive Housing (DSH) provides safe, stable housing and individualized wraparound services for individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness. Many of the people we serve are also navigating challenges related to substance use, incarceration, or trauma.

DSH programs are designed to support long-term stability and help individuals successfully transition to independent, permanent housing. Through person-centered care, housing navigation, and community-based supports, we empower each individual to build a foundation for recovery, self-sufficiency, and a better quality of life.

Position Summary

The Supportive Housing Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of two permanent supportive housing programs. Supervise a team of case managers by providing ongoing training and support. Ensure that case managers are effectively meeting participant needs using a harm-reduction, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach. Provide guidance and intervention when challenging situations arise. Ensure documentation is thorough and completed in a timely manner. Perform responsibilities professionally, in accordance with MHA’s Core Values (Respect, Integrity, and Compassion), policies, practices, program funding and applicable regulatory agency guidelines.

Pay Rate : $53,000 annually

Schedule : Monday through Friday 9am-5pm (40h), with some flexibility required

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support staff, including three Case Managers, by providing training, supervision, scheduling, performance evaluations, and ensuring documentation is complete and timely.
• Oversee daily program operations, including crisis management, record audits, incident reporting, and coordination of participant care using trauma-informed and person-centered approaches.
• Implement harm reduction and Housing First practices, supporting staff and participants in meeting housing and health goals through flexible, nonjudgmental interventions.
• Manage program referrals and waitlist, maintaining effective communication with referral sources and prioritizing placements based on participant needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with landlords, community providers, and local Continuum of Care partners to ensure access to housing and supportive services.
• Provide short-term follow-along support and advocacy after housing placement to help participants address immediate needs and reduce barriers to long-term tenancy.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including assessments, progress notes, housing paperwork, evaluations, and team compliance with all record-keeping standards.
• Oversee program finances, including managing debit card usage, receipts, and adherence to fiscal policies.
• Represent the program in external meetings, including provider networks, funder check-ins, and stakeholder collaborations to advocate for participant needs and program success.
• Support team development and compliance, ensuring staff complete all required trainings and continuously improve through feedback and professional growth opportunities.
