Location : New Castle, IN

Pay : $65,000–$80,000 annually + paid overtime (1.5x over 40 hrs / week)

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 1st shift (typical hours between 6AM–5PM)

Employment Type : Direct Hire

About the Opportunity

Aegis Worldwide is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the metals industry that produces precision cast components for automotive, construction, agricultural, and industrial applications. We are seeking a PLC Technician to join their New Castle, IN facility on 1st shift .

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, editing PLC programs, and supporting plant-wide electrical and automation systems. Key Responsibilities

Design, install, and maintain electrical systems with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Troubleshoot and diagnose issues within PLCs, identifying errors in ladder logic and performing light program edits.

Support preventive and reactive maintenance of plant electrical systems for power, lighting, controls, and facilities.

Work from schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to identify and resolve electrical issues.

Collaborate with the maintenance and engineering teams on system upgrades and new installations.

Train maintenance personnel on electrical troubleshooting and PLC techniques.

Assist in performing emergency repairs to minimize downtime.

Maintain working knowledge of multiple PLC platforms (Allen Bradley strongly preferred).

Support both electrical and mechanical maintenance, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and drives.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience troubleshooting and editing PLCs (Allen Bradley or Siemens preferred).

Experience with RSLogix5000 software strongly preferred.

Ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic, schematics, and electrical drawings.

Knowledge of 480V systems, 3-phase circuits, AC / DC drives, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial controls.

Mechanical aptitude—comfortable working with bearings, shafts, motors, and other industrial components.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred (not required).

Previous experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments preferred.
