As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols across campus grounds, remaining visible to help to deter potential security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication and professional interactions. This post is primarily a driving role, where you will traverse the property to monitor various areas and respond promptly to any security-related concerns. What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational location, including buildings and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and visitors, offering assistance or directions as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment.
  • Document incidents and daily activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license in the job state is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
