Job description

We have an immediate need for a Structural Engineer to join our Transportation and Infrastructure Team in Charleston, SC.

This role involves analysis, design, and inspection of highway, rail, and pedestrian bridges and related structures. We seek a motivated individual eager to be part of a growing practice that values integrity, determination, and drive. The successful candidate will have opportunities to interact with clients regularly and contribute to business development. Responsibilities Include :

  • Work as part of the Bridge Practice in our SC office.
  • Provide analysis, design, and inspection of bridges and related structures.
  • Support structural design on projects and lead assigned tasks.
  • Mentor and motivate junior staff, providing leadership and direction. (Senior Engineer only)
  • Ensure safety and maintain health and safety practices.
  • Maintain quality of project deliverables within the Bridge Group.

Qualifications Include :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; Master's preferred but not required.
  • At least 5 years of progressive design experience in structural engineering projects.
  • SC Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for both Junior and Senior Engineers.
  • Strong structural analysis and design skills, with an understanding of related engineering disciplines.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills for working with staff and clients.
  • Compensation Range : $90,681.10 - $120,908.13
