The Role :

Were looking for a Smart Home Systems Designer to translate client visions into precise, buildable system designs. Youll collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and Installation to create seamless, reliable, and beautiful technology experiences.

Youll :

• Design integrated systems, including Control4, AV, surveillance, networking, lighting, and shades
• Produce scope documents, wiring diagrams, and load schedules
• Specify parts lists, rack elevations, and equipment layouts
• Coordinate with clients, builders, and Hives production team
• Support field teams during commissioning or troubleshooting
• Stay current with new tech and Control4 updates

You Are :

• Detail-oriented with a strong technical foundation in low-voltage systems
• Experienced with Control4, Lutron, networking, and surveillance systems
• Comfortable using design software (D-Tools, X-10, AutoCAD, or similar)
• Able to communicate clearly with clients, builders, and teammates
• Motivated by precision, organization, and great system outcomes

Preferred Qualifications :

• 2+ years in system design, drafting, or AV integration
• Control4 or CEDIA certification preferred
• Understanding of residential networking fundamentals
• Ability to manage multiple active projects and deadlines
