Revenue Cycle Specialist – Santa Fe Springs, CA (100% onsite) – $80,000 - $90,000 / year – Full Time, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Are you an experienced medical billing and collections professional looking for meaningful work in a mission-driven organization

Join our dedicated team at a respected nonprofit healthcare provider serving the Los Angeles community. As a Revenue Cycle Specialist , you\'ll play a key role in ensuring that our services remain accessible and sustainable—by helping us receive timely and accurate reimbursements from both commercial and government payers. Your attention to detail, coding expertise, and passion for making systems run smoothly will directly support patient care, access, and organizational impact.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Submit, track, and follow up on multi-specialty claims to commercial and government payers
  • Resolve claim denials, billing discrepancies, and underpayments
  • Ensure accurate use of ICD, CPT, HCPCS , and modifier codes
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance coverage
  • Collaborate with internal teams and insurance providers to resolve eligibility and reimbursement issues
  • Reconcile payments, post insurance and patient payments, and manage A / R
  • Analyze trends in denials and collections to improve billing performance
  • Prepare reports that help shape smarter financial decisions and support audit compliance

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle, or collections
  • Solid knowledge of medical coding , billing compliance, and EOB interpretation
  • Familiarity with billing software and EHR / EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain billing issues to patients and providers
  • A self-starter who works well independently and thrives in a team-oriented, community-focused environment
  • Bonus if you hold CPC, CMRS, or similar certifications
