Overview
DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-OSP (5) - The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). The Data Management Specialist-OSP plays a key role in supporting the Office of Sponsored Programs mission by serving as the initial point-of-contact for incoming funding submissions, including federal, nonprofit, and industry-sponsored proposals. This position is responsible for identifying the type of submission, verifying the presence and completeness of required documents, ensuring the accuracy of provided information, and maintaining overall quality standards prior to formal institutional review and action related to sponsor.

Compensation and Benefits
This position is assigned to Wage Grade W.G345 (Job Code O010180) with a full compensation range of $50,050 – $81,330 annually (midpoint $65,065). Final offers will be made within this range based on qualifications, internal equity, and department budget. Applicants whose stated salary expectations fall outside the posted grade range may not be considered.
