Senior Security Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Security Systems Engineer to lead advanced WiFi performance testing, automation, and network analysis in laboratory environments.

This role requires deep expertise in wireless protocols, hands-on experience with specialized testing equipment, and strong programming skills to deliver secure and reliable network solutions.

Responsibilities

Set up and conduct controlled WiFi performance tests in laboratory environments

Write and customize automation scripts for testing various devices

Analyze complex network issues and determine root causes

Generate performance metrics and compile technical reports

Work with TR-069 protocol for remote management of customer equipment

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of working experience in wireless networking and security systems engineering

Knowledge of 802.11ac (WiFi 5) and 802.11ax (WiFi 6) protocols including channel widths (80 / 160 MHz in WiFi 5, dual-band operation in WiFi 6), modulation schemes (256-QAM in WiFi 5, 1024-QAM in WiFi 6), MU-MIMO capabilities (downlink in WiFi 5, both uplink and downlink in WiFi 6), OFDMA technology, BSS Coloring and Target Wake Time features

Experience with Octoscope (OctoBox anechoic test chambers) and Veriwave (IxVeriWave by Keysight Technologies) for large-scale performance testing

Understanding of RF components such as splitters, attenuators, antennas and RF shielded boxes, and lab equipment including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and oscilloscopes

Background in TCP / IP protocols, Layer 2 networking and switches

Skills in Wireshark for network packet analysis and TR-069 protocol for CPE management

Expertise in Python programming for automation scripts, shell scripting for CPE validation and customizing scripts for vendor-specific testing

Competency in problem-solving, root-cause analysis and generating throughput, KPI and performance metrics

Qualifications in compiling test reports and preparing presentations

Experience with Python and Spark in data-intensive environments

Nice to have

Database engineering and software development background

Understanding of wireless protocols like 4G / 5G
