Practice Setting : Hospital-based (includes 4 hours of clinical time).
Patient Demographics : Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric.
Average Surgical Cases : Based on ER patient flow.
Trauma Level : III
EMR System : EPIC.
OR Facilities : 9 operating rooms.
Current Team : 4 general surgeons.

Procedural Requirements

General Surgical Cases :

Adult and trauma cases.

Laser-certified procedures.

Chest wall / pleural procedures.

Ventilation management, central line insertion, PA catheter placement, chest tube insertion.

Aneurysm repairs.

Abdominal and vascular access devices, AV shunt, hernioplasty.

Cholecystectomy, Nissen fundoplication.

Upper and lower sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy.

Qualifications

Board Certification : ABOS or AOBOS - Required.

Licensing :

Active Virginia license - Required (must already be active).

BLS and ACLS certification - Required.

COVID Vaccination : Preferred (must have before credentialing).

Background : Clean background highly preferred.
