Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU night shift position requiring a current MI license, NRP, and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Special Care Nursery within the NICU setting
  • Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Every other weekend is required
  • 8-week contract assignment
  • No blocked scheduling is allowed
  • Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital
  • Provide leadership and compassionate care utilizing the nursing process for neonatal patients and their families
  • Communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team
  • Collaborate to solve variances from patient care goals and implement solutions
  • Required to report to the lab for drug screening within 24 hours of offer acceptance
  • All background check and compliance documents must be submitted by the set deadline or start date may be delayed

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active Michigan RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
  • At least 2 years of recent neonatal nursing experience required
  • Online modules must be completed onsite with a passing score prior to start
  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory
