CNC Machine Operator
Type : Direct Hire
Shift : Monday - Friday; 6am - 2 : 30pm OR 2 : 30pm - 11pm
COMPENSATION : $24 to $36 per hour DOE. Higher range for proven CNC programming experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform all Machinist Grade Two tasks with mastery; independently set up, run, and prove out jobs on CNC mills and lathes.Take on, troubleshoot, and optimize the most difficult jobs, including first articles and short run R and D work.Program CNC equipment from prints and models; create, edit, and optimize programs at the control and offline as available.Research and trial improved tooling, workholding, speeds and feeds, and methods to reduce cycle time and increase tool life.Design and implement new fixtures; create quality plans, work instructions, and training content for new projects.Verify parts using appropriate metrology; document results to quality plan requirements.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation; follow 5S and EHS standards.Perform other duties within Operations as assigned by Management.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED and 10 or more years of CNC machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands on training.Ability to write and edit CNC programs and to resolve issues at the machine.Working knowledge of manufacturing software tools; ability to learn company specific systems quickly.Cross functional communication skills; able to partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production.Professionalism and discretion when handling proprietary or customer sensitive information.Consistent attention to detail; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment with multiple competing tasks.PREFERRED
Experience designing fixtures and drafting basic setup sheets or quality plans.Exposure to common CNC controls and CAM systems such as Fanuc or Haas controls and Mastercam or GibbsCAM.Familiarity with ISO or AS quality environments and first article processes.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Frequent bending, reaching, walking, and standing; intermittent periods of sitting.Ability to lift and move materials and tooling as the job requires, using proper ergonomics and aids.Production floor environment with standard PPE requirements.
