Job Description

The Cage & Player's Club Supervisor is responsible for developing an environment that creates excitement for guests and employees, promoting and retaining a highly skilled work force. They are also responsible for ensuring accurate and secure operation of the cashier cages and miscellaneous count room on assigned shift, while providing excellent customer service.

The Cage & Player's Club Supervisor :

• Implements and maintains policies and procedures that maximize the cashing of negotiable instruments and intra-departmental transactions on an assigned shift.
• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to have Belterra as their casino of choice; responsible for actively building and retaining customer relations and acts as a mentor to employees in order to provide extraordinary guest service.
• Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates and supervises staff to ensure employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established job and department objectives.
• Monitors and coordinates activities of cage personnel such as chip exchange on assigned shift to maintain integrity of cage funds.
• Works with high-limit customers to ensure they are provided with prompt, courteous and friendly service.
• Responsible for collecting and maintaining customer credit data via telephone, credit bureaus, central credit, bank verification system, etc.
• Updates credit information of Belterra Casino Resort & Spa existing credit customers.
• Responsible for voiding tickets, corrections, and refunds with proper authorization.
• Reviews relevant gaming regulations daily to ensure that the cage is in compliance with all gaming regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Responsible for redemptions, bonus point adjustments, etc.
• Responsible for handling escalated reward program related questions or database questions, including duplicate account merge, performing various account adjustments, and issuing rewards.
• Processes win / loss statements.
• Understands department objectives, standards, guidelines and budget to achieve effective supervision of the department.
• Enforces overall department policies / procedures to ensure compliance with the company’s internal controls including tracking of controlled documents and enrollment and redemption procedures.
• Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through three years’ experience in cashiering or banking operations and / or through a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field and one-year closely related experience.
