Compensation : $34.85 – $49.06 / hr (based on experience)

Job Summary
We’re seeking a dedicated and experienced CVOR Registered Nurse to join our highly respected cardiovascular operating team in Sanford, FL . This role offers the opportunity to work within a Level II Trauma Center featuring a comprehensive cardiovascular program , including open-heart surgery, electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and advanced cardiac rehab.
The CVOR RN will play a vital role in providing exceptional, evidence-based care for cardiovascular surgical patients, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the OR team to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and prepare patients for cardiovascular surgical procedures.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding procedures and recovery expectations.
- Manage patient preparation including IV therapy, medications, and surgical site verification.
- Participate in surgical briefings, time-outs, and debriefings according to hospital policy.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices.
- Recognize and respond to intraoperative emergencies swiftly and effectively.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure workflow efficiency and patient safety.
- Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient condition and care provided.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and share insights to improve workflow and care standards.
Qualifications
Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent acute care CVOR RN experience required.Education : Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma (BSN preferred).Licensure : Active RN license (Florida or Compact State) .Compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days of relocation.Certifications :BLS – within 30 days of hire.ACLS – within 6 months of hire.PALS or ENPC – within 6 months of hire.On-Call : Required (10–15 calls per month; must live within 30-minute call radius).Additional Information
