The VP, Strategic Accounts is responsible for driving growth and retention of Ametros' most critical client relationships. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring exceptional service delivery, strategic alignment, and measurable performance outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership, financial acumen, and deep industry knowledge to influence client success and company revenue goals.

Essential Functions :

Client Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute strategies to retain and grow strategic accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling new products and services.
  • Communicate company capabilities and offerings effectively to clients.
  • Partner with Sales and executive leadership to advance new business opportunities and account expansion.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Drive initiatives that elevate individual and collective team performance to meet aggressive growth targets. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and strategic thinking.
  • Mentor and guide Strategic Account Executives and Associates.
  • Assist in defining team structure, responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for strategic account management.
  • Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for client issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain compliance with client deliverables, referral targets, member targets, and other performance metrics.
  • Represent client interests internally and communicate goals across teams.
  • Drive excellence in client reporting and stewardship by analyzing account performance trends, developing insightful presentations, and delivering clear, actionable reports that demonstrate value and support strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver presentations to clients and executives within the insurance industry.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with various internal teams to support client success.
  • Align with Field Sales on growth initiatives and retention strategies.
  • Partner cross-functionally to align team goals with broader business objectives, ensuring the team is equipped to navigate complex, ever changing sales environments and deliver exceptional client outcomes.
  • Financial Oversight

  • Develop and manage the strategic account budget with clear revenue and expense goals.
  • Assist in defining sales incentive / compensation plans.
  • Industry Engagement
  • Represent Ametros at client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic / national account management or client services within insurance or related industries
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Ability to manage budgets and deliver on financial targets
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Dynamics, BI tools, and PowerPoint.
  • Travel domestically (40–50%) is required to maintain strong client relationships, cross functional collaboration with field sales and engagement with strategic account team.

    The estimated salary range for this position is $13,500USD to $15,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
