General Labor
Automation Personnel Services is looking for General Labor for a company based in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while being a key part of a dynamic team in a fast-growing, woman-owned manufacturer of pipe manufacturing and fabrication company.
Pay Rate
$12.00 / $16.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Saturday, 7 : 00am to 7pm
40+ hours a week, sometimes over 60 hours per week.
General Labor Duties and Responsibilities
- Provided support across designated operational areas, ensuring continuous workflow and responsiveness to team needs
- Maintained optimal inventory levels of raw materials, proactively restocking to avoid production delays
- Conducted regular inspections of machinery to identify and report performance issues or maintenance needs
- Accurately identified pipe specifications and material requirements to meet project standards
- Sustained a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation in compliance with safety regulations General Labor Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training via vocational school or trade apprenticeship is a plus
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- State licensure for hazardous materials handling and / or union certification preferred, though not mandatory
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Physically capable of standing, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 40 lbs regularly
- Comfortable with working at heights, including climbing tall ladders and operating on elevated platforms
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic with a consistently positive attitude
- Effective in both independent tasks and collaborative team environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is an advantage
- Committed to completing tasks promptly and with attention to detail
- Maintains proper care of tools and equipment, including cleaning and secure storage
