Title : Senior Technical Writer Product Requirements (Jama Connect / Systems Engineering) Remote

Duration : 6 Months

Location : Remote

Description : Responsibilities :

Requirements Remediation : Lead and participate in the remediation of existing product requirements, ensuring they are clear, concise, testable, and traceable.

Requirements Development : Develop new product requirements based on system specifications, stakeholder input, and engineering design documents.

Jama Connect Management : Utilize Jama Connect extensively to manage requirements, establish traceability, and support change management processes. Perform bulk updates, create filters, and generate reports within Jama Connect.

Requirements Analysis : Analyze existing requirements to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.

T raceability Management : Establish and maintain comprehensive traceability between requirements, design elements, test cases, and other relevant artifacts.

Change Order Support : Create, update, and manage change orders related to requirements modifications.

Systems Engineering Shadowing : Shadow Systems Engineers to gain a deeper understanding of system design and functionality, ensuring requirements accurately reflect engineering intent.

Documentation Standards : Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation standards and guidelines.

Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, software development, hardware + firmware engineering, and regulatory + quality assurance, to ensure alignment on requirements.

Requirements Reviews : Participate in requirements reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards.

Must Haves :

1. Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably related to product requirements (Software / hardware / firmware systems engineering), with at least 2 years specifically focused on Product Requirements remediation efforts.

2. Demonstrated proficiency and experience in using Jama Connect requirements management tool to support 'cleaning-up' efforts such as updating, developing, tracing and managing hardware / firmware requirements.

3. Strong understanding of INCOSE and EARS best practices for writing good product requirements and needs with Rationale.

4. Experience with creating and updating change orders, and shadowing System Engineers.

5. Onsite position in San Diego, CA

6. Excellent Communication Skills both written and verbal
