About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : 3-5 years preferred

License : TX RN License

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS

Must-Have : Required COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations with medical / religious exemptions only

Description :

Weekend shift is Friday to Sunday.

RTO only permitted for one winter holiday.

Position requires 3x12-hour shifts with call on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Experience in general, neuro, ortho, trauma, and robotics is preferred.

The operating room is fast-paced with high volumes on the weekends.

Charge experience is preferred.

Candidates should have experience with the Epic charting system.

Experience with trauma level II is required.

Strong skills in various surgical procedures are necessary, including :

Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion

Amputations

Arthroscopy

Cholecystectomy

Colorectal Robotic Surgery

Craniotomy

Laparoscopic procedures

Spinal Fusion

Urologic robotic surgery

Wound management

Candidates must demonstrate infection control and fire safety protocols.

Experience in trauma care is essential.

Universal protocols and time-out procedures must be followed.

The ability to handle specimen labeling and management is required.

Effective communication and teamwork skills are necessary for interdisciplinary support.

Candidates must maintain compliance with all required certifications and health standards.
