Director, Annual Giving
Position Summary
The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for developing and executing all phases of a successful annual fund campaign to include ongoing soliciting, stewarding, renewing and upgrading donors. Assists with planning and directing the fund raising programs consistent with the fund raising needs of the health system. Coordinates all annual giving activities of the SJ / C Foundations. Must have demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication skills. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with, support and motivate in a positive manner. Prefer individual with knowledge of the local community. Must be able to work flexible hours (night, early mornings, weekends) and interact outside the hospitals with volunteers and donors in business and home settings.

Experience
2-3 Years fundraising experience - Preferred
Minimum 2 years related work experience - Required

Core Job Functions
- Plans activities and coordinates annual programs of each committee in conjunction with committee chairs and Executive Director. Executes annual and planned giving activities, financial goals and strategic initiatives. Develops and executes recognitions, as assigned.
- Assists committees with planning and organization of fundraising events, including Smart Women and Candler Clays. Solicits sponsorships and raffle and auction items according to policy. Responsible for achieving financial goals.
- Coordinates development and design of communication materials and mailings for fundraising events and annual giving programs including e-newsletter, website, and grant proposals. Maintains donor records, financial reports, gift recording, acknowledgements and renewal / reminder letters as appropriate. Maintains patient and donor confidentiality at all times according to established policies.
- Helps deliver Foundations message to co-workers during campaign and new hire orientations. Creates presentation materials and develops recognition programs.
- Represents Foundations and Executive Director as needed. Presents positive communication and professional image to patients, visitors, volunteers, donors, constituents and co-workers. Other duties as directed.
