Travel RN Job Details

Location : Madison, WI 53718

Healthcare Setting : Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (10 / 19 / 2025 – 1 / 18 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour shifts (days or nights)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680–$1800

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend for travel nurses

Orientation : 1st and 4th Monday of each month

Patient Ratio : 1 : 7

Electronic Health Record : EPIC

Dress Code : Any color scrubs and sneakers

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Wisconsin or compact state)

BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)

At least 1 year of travel nursing experience

EPIC EHR experience required

Experience in acute inpatient rehab or acute rehab hospital

Skilled nursing experience alone is not sufficient unless accompanied by 2 years of IRF or Med Surg experience

RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, and complex medical conditions

Monitor and manage blood glucose, insulin protocols, feeding tubes, and swallowing precautions

Provide care for ports, PICC lines, and start IVs

Administer supplemental oxygen and manage isolation precautions

Perform wound care and ulcer management

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans

Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system

Support patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process, promoting optimal recovery and safe discharge
