Job description

LocumJobsNetwork is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology NP in Virginia!

About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife specializing in Obstetrics / Gynecology for a 66-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting Nov 3, 2025. This opportunity offers a dynamic schedule with three days per week, including one 24-hour call shift and two clinic days, providing both clinic and call coverage within a hospital setting.

  • LOA : 66 days
  • Provider Type Needed : Certified Nurse Midwife - Obstetrics / Gynecology
  • Schedule : Three days / week; one 24-hour shift and two clinic days. Rotation options : one 24-hour shift, followed by a day off, then two consecutive clinic days, or two clinic days then one 24-hour shift. Clinic hours : 8am-5pm; Call : 8am-8am.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care for deliveries and pre / postpartum patients
  • Deliver clinic and call coverage for obstetrics / gynecology patients
  • Work collaboratively within a hospital environment, with the clinic located in the hospital and on-site call room
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Ensure adherence to all hospital protocols and standards
  • Additional Information

  • Must be licensed to practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife in Virginia
  • Required certifications : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Demonstrated experience with deliveries and pre / postpartum care
  • Board certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife required
