Position : Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel RN)

Location : Granbury, TX 76048 (Texas healthcare job)

Assignment Type : 13-week travel nursing contract

Healthcare Setting : Labor & Delivery Unit

Start Date : October 6, 2025

End Date : January 5, 2026

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM), call required

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680-$1800

Patient Ratio : 1 : 3, 1 : 4; 1-2 labor until active labor

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Electronic Medical Record : CPN, MEDHOST

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)

BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC required)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

AWHONN certification in fetal heart monitoring

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

Must reside more than 50 miles from the healthcare facility

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn stages

Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including fetal heart rate monitoring

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and assist during high-risk deliveries

Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care best practices
