RSI, recently acquired by Trinity Industries, Inc, is hiring a Terminal Operator for our Rochester, NY location.

The Terminal Operator's primary responsibility is to safely and timely unload rail cars to trucks and storage, within the terminal facility. The Terminal Operator will understand, and follow, operating procedures and policies. Full-time position, some overtime may be required, must be flexible.

What You'll Do :

• Daily unloading of rail cars carrying hazardous materials
• Ability to operate rail car loading systems, including an articulated front-end loader including vehicles with manual transmission and yard tractor
• Required to perform work safely and productively
• Willingness in being cross-trained on all functions at the terminal facility
• Must possess a strong work ethic and the willingness to follow procedures
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Must not be afraid to ask questions
• Read and write clearly and accurately fill out all required paperwork.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors
• Perform general maintenance on equipment, as necessary
• Assist with facility maintenance such as general maintenance, landscape upkeep, and painting, as needed
• Work independently and in a team setting in a helpful and professional manner
• Interact with customers, railroad crews, and visitors, in a professional manner
• All other duties as assigned
