ABOUT THE ROLE POAH Communities is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as Maintenance Technician for Walnut Grove Apartments. This individual will be a bright and dynamic leader with hands-on experience. Walnut Grove Apartments is a 176-unit family development located in Blacklick, Ohio, a small unincorporated community on the northeastern portion of the Columbus Metropolitan area. POAH purchased the property from the National Church Residences (NCR). It consists of 50 one- and two-story single-family homes and 17 townhouse buildings containing 126 units. The development contains 64 two-bedroom, 62 three-bedroom and 50 four-bedroom units. The property sits on 10.5 acres on a 15 acre campus shared by two other properties owned by NCR. Amenities for the property include two playgrounds and a community building that contains the management offices as well as a laundry and community room. Additionally, each single-family home has a single car garage. Walnut Grove Apartments : https : / / www.poah.org / property / ohio / walnut-grove-apartments ABOUT YOUR IMPACTInsuring a safe, secure and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff.Being knowledgeable of pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations.Being aware of the condition of apartment property throughout the community and immediately initiate action to correct unsafe conditions.Scheduling and performing routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment.Performing work area clean-up and safety related duties.Diagnosing and perform minor and routine maintenance / repairs.Insuring all make-ready repairs and services are completed.Inspecting and helping coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services.Assisting in keeping grounds neat and clean. Rake, sweep, shovel as necessary.ABOUT YOUMust have at least 1 year experience in apartment maintenance.High School diploma or GED required.
